The curriculum developer position is for those who are looking to assist in developing a kid-friendly curriculum along with the opportunity to teach as well if you choose to do so.
Responsibilities:
Work with a coding team to develop kid friendly, interactive curriculums including:
Designing student facing powerpoints and teacher lesson plans
Creating games to keep students invested
Teach diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts within the stem field
Teach courses (Optional. Classes run weeknights from 6pm-7:30pm EST)
Time Commitment: ~ 10-15 hours per week
Qualifications:
Background in education, such as teachers in training, current teachers, retired educators, or recent graduates with a degree in education
Knowledge of programming is not required, but is helpful. For those who don’t know coding, the material is quick and easy to pick up
Ability to construct creative ideas on ways to implement class activities, discussions, and class bonding strategies
Knowledge on creating lesson plans that are clear for other teachers to implement
Creates content with DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion) and culturally relevant framework
Excellent communication skills
Maintains organization of all materials
