Head Instructor
This position is available for those who are interested mainly in helping to teach the classes and train others to teach the classes. Please note, that this role does not require any lesson planning as the curriculum will have been already developed. See more details below:
Responsibilities:
Assist in training other teachers
Provide feedback
Attend all classes to help facilitate and lead classes (Classes run weeknights from 6pm-7:30pm EST)
Must practice culturally relevant education and actively work towards an equitable and inclusive classroom
Time Commitment: One month, approximately 10 hours per week
Qualifications:
Background in education, such as teachers in training, current teachers, retired educators, or recent graduates with a degree in education
Knowledge of programming is not required, but is preferred. For those who don’t know how to code, the material is quick and easy to pick up
Excellent relationship building skills
Must have a deep knowledge on culturally relevant education practices
